The ALmighty Dragons was founded by the Air Liquide Asian Diversity Network, ALADN, which is a Business Resource Group committed to bringing awareness to the rich heritage and diverse; broad spectrum of Asian cultures, promoting employee engagement through networking and community service; and driving business results through leadership development and mentorship opportunities. Air Liquide was founded in 1912 and is the world leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and health.

Aqua Centauri is proud to make our debut at this year’s race! We’re a crew made up of members and friends from Centauri AI, a YCombinator-backed startup building a modern data platform to help financial and investment teams work faster and smarter. While most days you’ll find us orchestrating intelligent AI agents and developing state-of-the-art RAG systems, we’ve traded our keyboards for paddles to take on a new kind of challenge—on the water.
About our name: Alpha Centauri is the closest star system to our own solar system, a 3-star system. In Greek mythology, Centaurus is the half-human, half-horse figure, just like we see AI and humans working together in the near future: augmented, collaborative, and fast.

We are parents of the Redwood City Mandarin Immersion Program. We are excited to take our passion for Chinese cultural events to the next level and participate in the Bay Area Dragon Boat Novice Race! We hail from Emeryville where we make the latest and greatest feature animation films with a team made up of folks from all around the studio; some creative, some technical, but all with a desire to collaborate and make any project we're working on great! We're excited to race and take in all the festivities! *Special thanks to Asiana, Pixar's studio resource group with the mission to represent, celebrate and advocate for members of the Asian community at Pixar."

We are Skydians (employees) from different teams across the organization that are interested in participating in a new, fun activity that will give us an opportunity to bond as colleagues and try an activity we have never done before! This was brought to our attention by our AAPI Employee Community Group and has expanded to other employees out of excitement!

We Be Dragon is Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Employee Services Associations’ critical mass of novice paddlers. The team fuses fun, water and networking into an explosive burst of paddling fury.

Wenzhou WuMa Dragon consists of youth athletes who work at Silicon Valley and are originated from the city of Wenzhou. The team name stands for five horses!

The Workday Dragon Boat team started in 2019. Over the years, we have expanded with enthusiastic workmates who have a love for the sport of dragon boat. Each year, we aim to continue our growth and compete against others in this fun and competitive annual event. 

Building a sense of community is a passion among our Workday Workmates. Did you know: We have over 100 Workclubs with global chapters celebrating foodies, sports enthusiasts, dog lovers, and more! Even a Dragon Boat Club! The Pleasanton Workday Dragon Boat team will paddle their hearts out with synchronized strokes to cheering crowds as fueled for their determination forward.
